Most of the time when I go out for my drives this is what I see.... Fields and fields of corn...

I love the rows that are formed during planting, they go on and on forever, each being the same as the last.... can be very cornfussing???!!!

I agree with dusyum, it is kinda creepy. I have seen the movie "Signs" too much, I suppose. Love the roots shot. Did not realize they would be so prominent! Wed 28-Jul-2004 18:33

cherub on baby's headstone
hidden under the bushes
looking through a headstone
View all 6 photos...
On one of my many trips out to the country to see what there is to be seen, i came across this cemetery. At first when driving through it you don't see anything too special. So I decieded to get out and wander around. Well, after careful looking I found some sights hidden under bushes that families had planted years ago in rememberence. Some of the headstones under these bushes date back to the 1800's. Also while there I noticed that some of the headstones had great detail on them, and well, then I was off on another subject.... so here is what I got...

I've not taken many photos there, but cemetaries are a favorite spot to walk and think Sat 24-Jul-2004 22:56

I love cemetaries - there's so much to look at and think about. I feel weird taking pictures though, so I only have a couple of times. Sun 25-Jul-2004 03:05

Great shots. Never been to a cemetary myself. But, climbed into a Parsi Tower of Silence once at midnight and, got chased away by a vulture!! Mon 26-Jul-2004 05:18

In this set I was trying to capture the reflection of the flame in the liquid wax. Then once I got started there was no stopping me!!! The paper you see surrounding the candle is tissue paper folded into a Lotus flower shape, and really gives off a nice glow.. Although there are alot this time I hope you enjoy them all.

great set here!!! like it.. Sat 24-Jul-2004 00:32

I found this really large mushroom and had to get a closer look... the hand holding the cap is my 6 year old Madyson, she found it a little weird.

Raining..... (fotochallenge #31)

View all 6 photos...
Hubby and I heard this song while trying to get some good shots of the lightning, it seems to fit perfectly so I thought I'd share it...of course I was not able to get the timing right to catch the streaks so all these shots are the lightning either coming or going, still nice I think

Artist: Keith Urban
Album: Golden Road
Title: Raining On Sunday

It ticks just like a Timex
It never lets up on you
Who said life was easy
The job is never through
It'll run us 'til we're ragged
It'll harden our hearts
And love could use a day of rest
Before we both start falling apart

Pray that it's raining on Sunday
Stormin' like crazy
We'll hide under the covers all afternoon
Baby whatever comes Monday
Can take care of itself
'Cause we got better things that we could do
When it's raining on Sunday

Your love is like religion
A cross in Mexico
And your kiss is like the innocence
Of a prayer nailed to a door
Oh surrender in much sweeter
When we both let it go
Let the water wash our bodies clean
And love wash our souls

Pray that it's raining on Sunday
Stormin' like crazy
We'll hide under the covers all afternoon
Baby whatever comes Monday
Can take care of itself
'Cause we got better things that we could do
When it's raining on Sunday

Pray that it's raining on Sunday
Stormin' like crazy
We'll hide under the covers all afternoon
Baby whatever comes Monday
Can take care of itself
'Cause we got better things that we could do
When it's raining on Sunday
When it's raining on Sunday
When it's raining on Sunday
Let it rain
